This year Brianna turned 6 years old. She is loving kindergarten and is getting back into Ballet in January. She is smart, kind and helpful. Brianna is very excited for her baby sister to be born in January!

We finally made it back to Disneyland! We decided to get passes again this year, so we could enjoy some family time while we still live so close to Disneyland. As you can see I am almost 7 months pregnant, due in January! Cheers to a fun year!

Summer Time ... and the livin's easy ...

Our summer has been pretty relaxing so far. Brianna just finished with two weeks of swim lessons. Alli was still too young to go without mommy this year. We have taken lots of mini vacations to grandparents houses. And we've had lots of people come here to visit us too! We have been enjoying what L.A has to offer including the weather and the beach. One thing we miss is Disneyland! So we may have to get season passes again soon.
Brianna loves jumping the waves and going as deep into the ocean as she can. She is quite the dare devil. Allison is too scared to get very close. She says there are "sharks" in the water and prefers to play with her sand toys next to mom.

Briannas Ballet Recital

To say that Brianna loves ballet, is an understatement! This is her 4th time taking the class since she was 3 years old. She looks forward to ballet class every Monday, and shows her ballet to anyone who will watch.

As you can see, her little sister Allison was so happy and proud of her big sister.

Brianna started another round of Ballet. This is her fourth time taking the class. She is such a cute ballerina. She really looks forward to the class and likes to teach her moves to her family. The Girls are Finally sharing a room!

Brianna and Allison have been actually "playing" and not fighting so much lately. We decided its time they got big girl beds and officially shared a room! Its been wonderful. I caught them playing dress up together. Alli was standing on this stool and Bri was brushing her hair and getting her ready for the "ball"

We also got them a matching dresser. The girls love putting there clothes away and knowing just were everything is now.

Heres a picture of the bed pulled out. I've ordered a mattress for it, but we are still waiting to get it. Brianna insists on displaying her art on the wall above her bed. Ever since she saw the movie Rapunzel (and thats what Rapunzel does, mom!)

The La Brea Tar Pits Museum

While we live in the Los Angeles area, we are trying to go to all the amazing museums and expose the kids to all this area has to offer. Last weekend my brother Russell, sister Adrianne, Jamey and Grant came to visit. We took the kids to the La Brea Tar Pits Museum. Its a museum that has on display bones that have been excavated from the natural tar pits they have in this area. They had actual tar pits outside and excavation sites. As kids, we went to this museum and it was fun taking my own kids there.

My Two Little Girls

I am so lucky to have two healthy, smart and beautiful little girls. Brianna is growing up way to fast! She turned 5 last month and is more independent than ever. She started ballet class again, and is looking forward to Kindergarten this year. She loves to pick out her own clothes in the morning, playing games, and she loves working on art projects.
Allison is almost 2 1/2. She is a little sweet heart! She loves to play with her sister, and copy everything she says and dose. She is potty trained! Hurray! She finally enjoys nursery at church, and loves to play at the park.
Dad and I are so lucky to have you girls, and that you have each other. We love you.

At Christmas this year we broke tradition. We had a lot of family in San Diego, so instead of having Christmas morning at our house, we stayed at Jareds Brothers house and had the best time! I'm so glad we traveled for Christmas, so we could spend it with the family. The girls got a Princess Vanity and play makeup for Christmas. Allison is having Daddy do her makeup!

We celebrated Christmas a week late on New Years weekend with my Parents and siblings. The girls enjoyed Christmas part 2! The boys went shooting and played football. Russell and Jared took the kids fishing, and they even got to go swimming in a heated pool! Jared and I went on a much needed date, and my mom enjoyed some quality time with the grandkids. We had a great time. It was good to see everyone. Happy New Year!

My little girl who acts more like a 10 year old, turned 5 on December 4th! Brianna, you are so fun loving, kind and funny! You love to entertain the crowd and be the center of attention. You always watch over and include your little sister in all the fun things you do. We love you. Happy Birthday!

The birthday cake is a huge cupcake. I always try to make the kids cakes, even though I'm not great at baking. This time my mom helped and I made the butter cream frosting!

Brianna has been obsessed with face painting! So, Jared bought her a huge face painting kit. She was so excited, she asked for a flower and a castle. The cutest part was that she wanted to paint Jareds face! She drew flowers all over his face. I think she did a pretty good job! And he was a really good sport.

Our family loves Halloween! We have been enjoying everything that comes with the season, from the candy to the decorations and of course the festivities. Our Disneyland passes are going to expire soon, so we had to go there during Halloween.

I love pumpkin patches. Maybe because they don't have them in the desert where I grew up because its just too hot! I have been wanting to take the girls, so Jared and I took them for Family night last week.

So, these pumpkin patch owners have gotten smart. Not only do they have horses to ride, and animals to pet but they have bouncy houses right next to the pumpkins! We finally gave into the girls cries to play in it.

Best Friends

Brianna and Allison are becoming best friends. They are finally learning to play together. Brianna is usually the mommy and Allison is usually the baby, or the dog! They are so cute together. I love that they have each other.

The other day I caught the girls playing tea party. Brianna had set up the table and Allison was all dressed up and brought along her baby doll and sippy cup. I especially love the flower and vase Brianna put on the table!

We are so happy to have our Disneyland passes back! Its been a few months since we could go, but we are enjoying every adventure now. This time we stayed late and watched Fantasmic (the dragon show) Bri loved it, but Alli was pretty scared. We are looking forward to watching the World of Color with Jared.

Gymnastics

Brianna took a gymnastics class for the first time this summer. She loved the teachers and learning all the new moves. The last day of class the kids siblings were invited to participate. Thank goodness, because Alli would usually run into Briannas class and try to join in!

Allison turned 2 years old on July 3oth. We had a party for her at her grandparents house in Escondido so her cousins could all be there. She had a Tinkerbell themed party with a military truck pinata! I couldn't resist! Allison taking a huge bite of her cake with her cousin Luke looking like he would like to do the same! Allison was very hesitant to bite into the cake, she kept looking at me for approval. Cute!

Swim Lessons

Brianna took swim lessons this year for the first time without her mommy. She did great! She was very brave, always wanted to try and never was tired of going to class! After 2 weeks of swimming everyday, she can swim underwater, jump from the diving board and she attempts to do the "free style."

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium

This aquarium is so cool. It has so much to look at. The best park is, its in San Pedro! We have been here about 5 times since we moved here. We always bring our visitors here too. This place never gets old! Jared, Bri and Alli are looking at the Sharks. This is Allisons favorite thing to do at the aquarium. They have an area where the kids can actually reach in and touch the sea life. They get to touch star fish, anemones and other sea creatures. This is definitely Briannas favorite part.

Beach Time!

Its time to hit the beach! Its still on the cool side here in L.A, but the beach is beautiful, and the kids love it! We usually go to Rhodondo Beach because its the closest to our house. I can't believe the beach is just 20 minutes away! I grew up in the desert (like 2 1/2 hours from any beach) So we are going to try and take advantage of it this summer!

Jamey, Russell and Grant came to visit us in L.A last weekend. We took the kids to the Getty Center, and they loved it. The art was amazing, and there were lots of places for the kids to run and play outside.

Mexico Cruise

For our 8th Wedding Anniversary we took a 4 day cruise to Mexico. We stopped at Catalina Island and Esanada Mexico. This is our first day on the ship.

Our second day was at Sea. So we did a lot of laying out in the sun. We did things we could never do with the kids. Like read by the pool. This was the fancy night on the ship. We got lucky and had dinner alone.

The food was wonderful. They even had a mongolian grill.

Jared and I had both been to Ensenda before so we just did some shopping and got some tacos. We got called, "honeymooners" a lot, and everyone said we would find the "best price" at there shop. "Almost Free" Good thing it wasen't our first time around the block, and It helped that Jared knew spanish! ha-ha! Good times in Mexico!

We found the best place to lay in the sun. The back of the ship had these great chairs and the best view.

California Adventure

This year for Jareds Birthday we decided to have a kid free day! My mom and sister came over and watched the girls and we went to California Adventure (by Disneyland) It was so much fun! Lots of Jareds family came, which made it so much more fun. It felt like the old college days again. It was such a great idea (I'm glad i thought of it :)

Here we are in line for the Toy Story ride. We went on it 3 times! Also, the Tower of Terror ride was amazing! I had never been on it .. and lets just say I'm a little afraid of heights! It was a great day! Thanks to everyone that watched the kids and to everyone that came for Jareds Birthday!

The 3rd time we visited Disneyland the line to see the princesses was finally short. Brianna finally got to meet her favorite Princess Aurora. As you can see, this is where she learned all of her sassy posses!

This visit we went during the evening. We are in line for Small World.

Our 4th visit we took my sister in law Melinda and her kids. Taylor is Briannas age. This is the girls in Mini's house at Toon Town. How cute is this!

We finally made it over to California Adventure and rode the Toy Story Ride that everyone talks about. It was really fun!

We had Christmas at our house this year. Just our little family. It was really nice to be home and relax. We did visit both sides of the family before and after Christmas though!

After a 10 day vacation, we had Briannas cousin McCall stay with us for a few days. The girls just played and played. This is one of their many costume changes! They had a great time. I'm happy Brianna can have cousins her age.

We visited Arizona where we finally meet the triplets and went to a surprise 30th birthday party for Debbie. On the way back, we stayed at my moms for a few days. Then we headed to Escondido to visit Jareds parents and the rest of the family. We did all our favorite things like the beach, the swap meet, eating at our favorite mexican place and of course actual dates with out the kids! We had a great end of the summer trip! We found this great little beach 5 miles from our house. The beach is mostly cliffs and rocks but its got a great playland for the kids.

Brianna and Allison are playing so well together. Bri is getting good at sharing with her baby sister. They love to climb on the fireplace. Brianna uses it as her little stage :)

After Jareds graduation and before we moved from Sacramento we had to visit San Francisco one last time. This time it was hot and sunny, unlike the time we visited in December.

Jaden and Brianna picked out sunglasses when we were out shopping.
A few weeks ago Brianna, Alli and I went to my BFF Audrys house for a visit. Brianna had the best time playing with her kids. Since visiting a few months ago, she is always asking to go back. The kids had so much fun playing together. They all got along so well. I think the only argument was who got to spend more time with Brianna! Cute! Thanks for having us Audry.

It sucks to be sick

This is a picture of a happier Allison. After two days with a fever and talking to her pediatrician twice I decided to take her to the after hours pediatric clinic. (They never get sick during office hours) Her fever kept going up and down. At one point it reached 104. I got her as cooled down as possible and when she finally saw the doctor she told us Allison has a double ear infection! This was news to me because she wasn't pulling on her ears and neither of my girls have ever had an ear infection.

Today she is whinny and tired, but the fever is gone and for that I'm thankful. Its just so hard when babies get sick. Gladly, daddy will be home tonight to nurse us back to health. Yes, I did say us. I have strep! Luckily, Brianna is doing well. She has been such a peach through this whole week. Here's a shout out to her for being awesome!

Jareds brother got married last weekend in San Diego. We had such a great time at the wedding and enjoyed seeing all our family. Dana made the girls skirts. They had so much fun dancing around like ballerinas and they all looked so cute!

Yesterday I noticed Allison is getting her first tooth. Finally! She is 7 1/2 months old! I realize this is probably the average age to be teething, but Brianna got hers when she was only 4 months old. I'm excited for the idea of less nursing and more eating baby food! Yeah teeth!

Brianna had the best time at her first Ballet class. Besides looking so adorable, she did really well with the teachers instructions. It was so fun for me to watch her. I took way too many pictures on my phone! Next week I'll bring a camara so I can post them. I'm happy that she can learn a new talent and have some individual attention. Its great to have something thats all hers. She said, "Allison can't come cause shes a baby." Ha-ha!

Allison will be 7 months old in a few weeks. Today she had her check up and shots with the doctor. She wieghs 15 pounds and is 27 inches long! She has learned to scoot and roll her way across the room too.

Allison is 5 1/2 months old now. She rolls over like a champ, and shes learning to sit up. She will sit forward and use her hands to hold herself up. Super cute! I'm looking forward to the 6 month mark, so she can start eating baby food.

Brianna is in Sunbeams now at church. That means she goes to class and sings songs and actually sits through a lesson. When I dropped her off the first time she turns to me and says, "bye mom" I said, "why do you want me to go?" She says, "I have to learn songs!" So cute!

The day after Christmas we went to San Francisco! While we were waiting for our table at Scomas, a sea lion was swimming in the water behind us. After lunch, we saved some bread and fed it to the bird in the water. Then the Sea Lion came back to join in!
